Become the Movement
It Takes a Village.
OPEN YOUR HEART & HOME
If you are looking for a truly rewarding and challenging experience, consider becoming a Safe Families volunteer. You will make a lasting impression on a child in need and possibly change the trajectory of a family facing a crisis. Volunteers serve on the Frontline of the Safe Families movement.
Without families opening their homes and opening their hearts, we could not care for vulnerable children and at-risk families in our communities. Our Circle of Support (COS) has many opportunities for all ages and stages of life to surround families with caring, compassionate communities.
Be a part of our village!
Circle of Support
The Ministry Lead plays a vital role in organization and oversight of COS and serves as a liaison between SFFC, volunteers and church partners.
The Host Family practices biblical hospitality when they temporarily open their home to children without monetary reimbursement and develop a relationship with the partnering parents to provide ongoing support for the family even after children return home.
safe families church
The SFFC church mobilizes volunteers with the mission of keeping children safe and families intact. They commit to champion hospitality, compassion and generosity as a value to serve the most vulnerable in their community.
Resources Friends help provide material needs like diapers, children’s items, meals trains, or professional services/skills like resume or job interview training to the team of volunteers as well as partnering parents.
The Family Coaches provide an opportunity to minister by facilitating the relationship between the partnering parents and the Host Family during a partnership by supporting the host family and ensuring the well-being of the children in care and providing support and mentor-ship to the partnering parent(s).
Family Friends come alongside the host family and/or partnering parents to provide encouragement and prayer during the time of hosting which could include, but is not limited to babysitting, transportation, meals and support.
